KC BENNETT

Director of Coaching & WILD 16s Head Coach

KC's knowledge, love, and passion for the game of volleyball is unsurpassed in Southern Arizona.  During her high school, college, and professional career, she has been trained by some of the top coaches in the sport including former Team USA's Coach Terry Liskevych and 2x NCAA MVP Matt Sonnichson (UCLA), David Rubio and Charita Stubbs (University of Arizona), A.J. Malis (Zona Volleyball Club) and others.

KC is a Tucson native who graduated from University High School and was named co-Southern Arizona Player of the Year her senior year with Rincon-University High School.  She went on to play at Louisiana Tech University where she was a four-year starter playing middle blocker.  She was named to WAC Conference and WAC Academic teams, All Louisiana team, and All Decade Team, lead the Lady Techsters throughout her career in blocks, blocks/set, most matches played, most kills, hitting percentage, and total career blocks.

After college, KC signed a professional contract with Ciro Marina, Italy, where she helped lead her team to a conference championship.  She returned to Europe and was a player/coach for Durham University and also played semi-professional ball for Northambria where she came home with two National Championship wins while playing in England.

Coach KC's coaching career started with coaching Rincon-University High School and Sahuarita High School and quickly grew to coaching at the NCAA Division I level with Oregon State University under the guidance of former USA Coach Terry Liskevych where they went to the NCAA Sweet 16.  After her coaching experience at Oregon State, KC went to Seattle University where she was the assistant coach.

KC returned to Tucson in 2015 after the birth of her son.  She and her husband, Chris Bennett, are very active in the community.  Their passion for coaching and helping younger athletes develop and grow into the best they can be as athletes and students and to reach their goals is their main focus.  They saw a void in Southern Arizona for a premier volleyball club and thus, Arizona Wild was formed.
